SNS Homecare has recently become an approved registered provider of Catastrophic Injury Support under the provisions of the Motor Vehicle (Catastrophic Injuries) Act 2016. This means that SNS can now provide support through the Insurance Commission of Western Australia (ICWA) Catastrophic Injury Support Scheme for people in need.

The Catastrophic Injuries Support Scheme provides lifetime treatment, care and support for people catastrophically injured in motor vehicle crashes in Western Australia who are unable to establish the fault of another driver. Anyone who experiences serious personal injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident in WA, on or after 1 July 2016, or a workplace accident, may be eligible to receive support from the CIS Scheme. Catastrophic injuries include spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, multiple amputations, severe burns and permanent traumatic blindness.

Our SNS Homecare Case Coordinator Brianna O’Connor says it’s fantastic that SNS can now help people that need this sort of intense and complex care and support. Brianna believes that being able to supply these sorts of high-level complex care services demonstrates that SNS has a very skilled and experienced workforce.

Please feel free to contact Brianna directly if you have any related queries regarding CIS on 08 93756296.
