SNS Homecare, a leading provider of in-home care services in Western Australia, has announced a pioneering partnership with Map for Change, becoming the platform’s first collaborator in the state of Western Australia. This alliance aims to bolster community access support services, enabling individuals with disabilities to better engage with and enjoy their local communities.
Through this partnership, SNS Homecare will actively contribute accessibility reviews to the Map for Change platform. These insights will provide valuable information on the accessibility of various public spaces and services, assisting individuals with disabilities in making informed decisions about their community engagements.
This collaboration underscores SNS Homecare’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities in Western Australia, ensuring they have the support and information needed to participate fully in their communities.
SNS Homecare Coordinator Brianna O’Connor says “Our partnership with Map for Change is an important step in improving accessibility for people with disabilities in Western Australia. We’re not only empowering our participants with vital information about their communities, but also providing valuable insights for support workers and families. This initiative helps ensure that everyone—whether they are accessing services, delivering care, or supporting a loved one—can navigate public spaces with greater confidence and ease. We’re excited to be part of a program that promotes inclusivity and enhances community engagement for all.”
We thank Sabrina Leung of Map for Change, for allowing SNS Homecare to be their first partner in Western Australia, and we hope for many more companies and their support workers to follow in our footsteps, in creating a more accessible WA.
