Enrolment checklist

Gather essential documents

Prepare your information before you begin our family day care application form.
You’ll need:

  • A scanned copy of your child’s birth certificate, passport, visa or immigration document
  • Information about yourself and any other parents, carers or guardians
  • Your child’s proof of immunisation
  • A list of emergency contacts
  • Your child’s Medicare number/reference number
  • Details of parenting orders or legal matters relating to the care and safety of your child
  • Additional needs or support documentation

All records you provide are kept confidential. Our childhood educators access the information on your child’s enrolment form. However, no staff member may give details on matters relating to your family to anyone other than the custodial parents and guardians listed on the form. Our staff sign and adhere to a strict confidentiality agreement.

Fill out forms

It can take some time to gather essential documents and complete the steps on this checklist. Please ensure you’re prepared well in advance of your desired start date.

You must fill out the enrolment form and parent agreement to enrol in our day care or early learning programs. There’s also a $50 holding fee payable upon enrolment. This fee is refunded when your child leaves the centre.

In addition to the enrolment form, we recommend:

  • Contacting Centrelink to let them know you’re using childcare. They have generous subsidies available you may be eligible for
  • Creating a Centerlink and MyGov account
  • Ensuring your child has a Centrelink Customer Reference Number (CRN)
  • You can also apply for the Child Care Subsidy via MyGov

Complete the enrolment form.

Complete the parent agreement form.

Offer for enrolment

While we would love to accept everyone, spots are limited at our childcare and early learning centre to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

Once you’ve filled out the required forms, we’ll contact you to discuss your offer for enrolment and the next steps.

Orientation visits and open door policy

Early learning and childcare is a family journey. Our role extends beyond caring and educating children to supporting the whole family. This child-centred, family approach enables you to access holistic childcare and be as involved as much as you like with your child’s development.

For your peace of mind, our experienced childhood educators provide:

  • Open door policy: You can visit without notice to check on your child or learn more about the activities they’re doing
  • Orientation visits: You and your family are invited to see our centre and facilities with flexible visiting times. Learn more about the age-appropriate programs and routines, meet our carers and tour the facilities. These visits and stay-and-play sessions help us learn more about you and your child to form that all-important bond and build their routine
  • Daily updates: Stay informed about your child’s development and see how they’ve settled in
  • Call anytime policy: Have a question? Want to check in on your child? Call us and we’ll be happy to help. No question is too silly to ask. We’ll also call you if your child is distressed or unwell

Day care policies and requirements

You can view our centre’s policies and procedures on file at any of our centres. Once you enrol in day care, we’ll provide you with a link to securely access all documents online.

Parents and families are also encouraged to attend our staff meetings where you can have input into these policies to ensure you’re needs are incorporated and met.

Let’s get started! We look forward to meeting you
